The NY Times Issue of 24. Mai 2002

May 24, 2002, holds personal significance for me as the day I went to New York for an art show and walked to Ground Zero. I also obtained a copy of The New York Times from that day. I kept the newspaper since then and I believe this is a perfect and iconic issue. A chronicle of Horror and Hope: This page of the NY Times is about a movie documentation that has been release that day.

I am so thankful and honored, that I had the opportunity to talk to Matt McDermott recently, a photographer known for his 9/11 pictures. As a photographer, Matt McDermott has played a vital role in capturing and documenting significant moments in history. His photographs related to the September 11, 2001, attacks have likely provided powerful visual narratives that help us remember and understand the impact of that tragic event. It allows me to gain insights into their experiences, perspectives, and the stories behind their photographs. It's understandable that the painting has a profound impact on me both emotionally and technically.
Personal note: I added some little flowers in the background. The "Forget-Me-Not" flower is associated with remembrance and  serve as a meaningful tribute. Honoring the memory of the victims and expressing gratitude to the firefighters and other first responders who risked their lives on the tragic events of 9/11 occurred many years ago.
